Gluten Free Drop Biscuits & Gravy

Introduction
Biscuits and gravy is a classic and savory breakfast. These drop biscuits are made with gluten free flour and topped with country sausage gravy for a filling and delicious meal.

Steps
Drop Biscuits:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Stir flour, salt and baking powder in mixing bowl.
Add cut up pieces of butter to flour mixture one at a time while the mixer is running.
Slowly add milk to mixer while continuing to mix. Stir until dough comes together but do not over mix.
Use a large spoon to drop dough onto an ungreased cooking sheet.
Cook 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
Country Sausage Gravy:
While biscuits cook in the oven, cook sausage in skillet on medium-high heat until no longer pink. Remove from skillet and place on a plate.
Melt butter in skillet with sausage grease. Once melted, stir in flour until fully combined.
Reduce heat and whisk in milk until flour is completely dissolved.
Mix in sausage. Let simmer on medium-low heat for 10-12 minutes.
Spoon over biscuits and season with salt and pepper as desired.
Ingredients
Drop Biscuits:
3 cups gluten free flour (we like Pamela's)
1 1/2 sticks cold butter, cut into pieces
2 Tbsp baking power
1/4 tsp salt
1 3/4 cups whole milk
Country Sausage Gravy:
12 oz package sausage
4 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup flour
3 1/2 cups whole milk
